Glass balustrades - structural safety alert

Late last year SCOSS issued an alert on the structural safety of glass balustrades. This was as a result of an incident where a glass panel in a balustrade at a school in Manchester failed.  A pupil fell through the exposed hole and sustained minor injuries. Please take the time to read the alert which warns about balustrades and other barriers not designed and built to an appropriate standard posing a serious risk to safety.
